WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT USING COLDFUSION, ASP.NET AND PHP
Integrating the customer experience into clients' existing business processes is the primary goal of Geektime's web development team. Utilizing some of today's most powerful and flexible technologies, we create web applications that can stand alone or integrate into existing accounting/ordering/inventory/database systems. Currently, we develop web applications for the following language/platform combinations:
- Macromedia Cold Fusion on Microsoft IIS or Linux Apache
- ASP.net on Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
- PHP on Microsoft IIS or Linux Apache
Macromedia ColdFusion (since acquired by Adobe) is Geektime's preferred programming platform. ColdFusion is a rapid application development (RAD) language that lets programmers quickly create powerful, robust websites. Built on a certified Java J2EE platform, ColdFusion is fast, scalable and portable. Geektime has designed and maintained over 50 websites and electronic commerce applications using ColdFusion technology.
ASP.Net is a powerful platform that Geektime has used in some of our most demanding enterprise applications. Built on top of Microsoft Windows and IIS, ASP.Net leverages a Common Language Runtime (CLR) to incorporate any .Net language including C# and VisualBasic.Net. By compiling scripted applications as server DLLs, ASP.Net combines the ease of a scripting language with the speed of a compiled application. Geektime currently develops and manages several ASP.net sites for our customers.
PHP is Geektime's preferred language when clients demand an open source solution. As part of the LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) platform, PHP provides an inexpensive entry point for web development.
